Lazy Saturday

Not a whole lot going on around here. Logan, Diem and I will be heading out to the store soon after Diem's nap and lunch. We had a great week. Logan is no longer having a reaction to the cement dust, thanks to some allergy meds. He is much happier not having hives :)

Yesterday (Friday), I subbed for a band teacher in Belgrade. What an experience! I enjoyed it, mostly. I definitely think I want to go back to school and get my teaching option for FCS. Teaching is something I have always wanted to do, I only wish I would have began with that. The students ranged from 4th grade to high school. Surprisingly, the 4th graders were the most respectful!!

Logan and I are going to sit down and plan out how we can swing some classes for me as well as working full-time. I am thinking I might do 1-2 classes per semester for a couple years and maybe some online classes. Then when we are done with having babies, I will go back and finish the remaining classes. Sounds good on paper, we will see how it works.

Grandma Shirley's Birthday Dinner

After the party, immediate family went over to Gma's house and had taco soup for dinner. Diem slept for the first hour but woke up, ate and played her little heart out. She was so interested in her binx! She was fighting with it and playing with it. It was incredibly funny and entertaining to watch. She sat on Uncle Jeff's lap for an hour and fought with it.

She is sitting here with Poppa in a cute outfit I got for her baby shower. She was quite the life of the party.

Grandma Shirley's Birthday Weekend

We went to Hardin this weekend and celebrated Grandma's 75th Birthday! It was a quick and busy trip, but it was fun! Diem is finally back on track sleeping. It was a rough couple days. I will add some photos from the party later, I didn't take any but I think my dad did. We stayed with Gma and Gpa Noyes, Diem got to know them and loved it. She took a minute to warm up to them but after she was fine.

At the party, I was a little scared that Diem was going to be overwhelmed with all the people wanting to hold her. But as soon as we got there people started grabbing for her and she had a blast! She let EVERYONE hold her and no one made her sad or scared at all (this is weird, she has been anxious around strangers lately). When my mom took her, she thought she needed to be center of attention some more and started talking ABOVE the the crowd noise. It was soooo cute and so funny. She was exhausted but she had a good time. She slept pretty good that night, but wanted to get up earlier than normal.

Valentine's Day!

Here is our little Valentine :) Our day consisted of visiting Birchwood (the assisted living home I interned at) and seeing some long lost friends. We played music and celebrated another little one's first birthday there. Then, when Logan got home, we decided to go to dinner at the Korner Klub :) It was less than classy but we were together and I loved it.

Here are the cupcakes. The one on the right is red velvet (mmmmmmm) and the other is vanilla with chocolate frosting.

There isn't much going on around here. Diem and I have a play date planned for today with my friend Jessica and her little boy Cannon. He was born 4 days before Diem :) We will probably just hang out here, not sure if she wants to go anywhere.

Tomorrow morning, Diem, my mom and dad, and I are going to Hardin for Gma Shirley's birthday. I believe it is 75!! We are making a stop in Billings to do some shopping, for Lainey's bridal shower. We will probably even grab some lunch, who knows.

Logan and Sug are planning on staying home. Logan might come down on Saturday with Kyle and then come home Sat. night.

Logan is still getting a reaction to something around here or at work. I am pretty sure it is from work but he is convinced otherwise. It is getting pretty bad. I hope he can find a remedy soon, it is hard for him to think about working there and having this for the rest of the time he works there :(

I don't know if you knew this, but I LOVE cupcakes. There is a new place in town called Cupcake Mountain so I grabbed some for mom, dad and Kyle and then some for Logan and I. They were delicious! I am so glad there is a specialty cupcake place here, my waistline, however, is less than pleased.

Lainey's wedding

Lainey sent this little dress for Diem. Diem is an honorary flower girl in the wedding. She is so cute and loved the dress, it makes noise.

Gma Laurie got Diem this cute little dress. It also came with a pink shrug. I am in love with animal prints, can you tell?! Anyways, I looked down and Diem was petting Sug. It was sooo sweet. Sug was confused but let Diem pet her. She is really gentle. However, the other morning, Diem got ahold of Sug's ear and I don't think Sug liked it much.

Fun Day!

Diem and I went to have coffee with a friend and her son who is 2. We went to Barnes and Noble since they have a great play area. We were catching up and having a great time running after Liam (her son). After we were convinced that Liam had had enough, we decided to go do a little shopping. So we walked around the mall for a little bit and I decided to get my new Dansko shoes. (My old ones are too big, me feet shrank after Diem). I sold my old ones to a friend and used that money to get new ones. I gave her a great deal so mine were essentially a great deal too. After that we went to Macy's and got sucked in to the kids section. There was some good sales so I got Diem a cute outfit (zebra of course) and Steph got some clothes for her second baby due in June.

The kids were still doing great so we decided to go to lunch since I had a gift card to The Bay. Liam was getting pretty tired so we ate as fast as we could and got out of there. Needless to say it was time because I guess he fell asleep as soon as he was in the car seat. Diem wasn't so lucky since we had a short stop to make afterwards. Then on the way home she slept.

It was a really great day. I love getting out of the house for more than an hour and to top it off, it was about 45 degrees out!!

5 MONTHS OLD!!

My little pickle pants is getting so big! Had her last shot today of her 4 mos. shots (We decided to space them out). She is a little fussy but she is such a trooper. Tonight is Zumba night, my mom and I go to the Monforton gym (Local school). We love it. Diem likes it too because she gets to hang out with Daddy.

Since Logan and I were betting against each other during the game, I thought for sure Diem would be on my side. But clearly, she didn't care at all. This is close to the middle of the first quarter. She didn't care who won, but Logan won the bet. The Patriots just couldn't rise up to the challenge and Tom Brady pretty such sunk the team with his safety in the first quarter. He pretty much ruined it for the team. However, his defensive line wasn't doing him any favors. HAHA.

The other day I was playing around with Diem's alphabet toys and just couldn't resist. I love her so much, she is such a doll when she sleeps.

This beautiful weather has been amazing to walk in. I have clocked out a nice 2 mile walk around our subdivision. I got an insert for Diem's stroller that she just gets into and it wraps around her and keeps her warm. I have been looking for a job lately but I have been pretty lucky to be home with D and able to exercise.

Yesterday, Logan, Diem, Sug and I went for a walk. It was about 40 degrees. It was so nice to be able to be outside. Today is the same, as the weather man says. So we will squeeze in a walk I think before the BIG GAME!! GO PATRIOTS!! Logan and I are betting against each other for a nice back massage to the winner. I am soooo gonnna win!!

Lastly, I know many of you do not care about this, but I am really proud and happy to have it back. Today I weighed myself and am now back to pre-pregnancy weight!!! It only took 5 months! (sarcasm). By Lainey's wedding, I hope to lose 10 more :) Wish me luck!

Some mornings Diem hangs out on my bed while I get ready. She watches Price is Right with me. Soooo happy in the mornings. Fuzz top hair!!

New sleep style

Ever since Diem was born, we swaddled her tightly to sleep. She only seemed to need it at night and slept fine during her nap time. My mom always comments about how it would drive her crazy to be confined like that haha. I know Diem likes it but I thought it was time to see if she would be OK without a swaddle. Two nights ago was the first time we tried it and she did pretty well. She still slept through the night and got up around the same time but going to sleep initially seems to be the hard part. Her arms flay about.

Actually, right now, she is pretty upset about it. She is sleeping in a sleep sack and gets hit in the face a couple times with her hands. It is all a process to wean her from anything, as it is with most babies.

5 months late is better than never

Diem will be 5 months old on Monday February 6th!!! I can't believe that it has been 5 months. So much has happened in that time that I may just fill this blog completely in!!

In the last couple months, Diem has hit so many milestones. Where to start!

She has rolled over, front to back and back to front. She is not consistent however.

She has been able to sit up by herself for a little while while using her arms as kickstands.

She has started eating foods!! She is so funny, she LOVES vegetables. Peas especially. She has also tried peaches, bananas, carrots, and rice cereal. She didn't really care for peaches, they were too tart and she didn't really like cereal.

Diem weighs about 16 lbs now and also is getting so long! All of her pants are too short :)
